A producer priced model has the boundaries of "cradle to gate", that is, it estimates impacts from resource extraction all the way up to final assembly of the product as it leads to the factory gate (not including delivery). The appropriate economic input into the model is with this context, in the total price from the producer's perspective as it leaves the factory.

The model works with an economic value as an input (rather than a physical quantity). You might choose a relatively large input value to ensure you get meaningful results - typically good results come from entering values in millions. If you need results for a smaller value, just scale the results as needed (e.g., if you need thousands instead of millions just divide results presented by 1000).

The model can show results for a variety of impacts, such as the economic supply chain purchases, energy use, environmental emissions, etc. You may choose one or more of these result categories.
