I am trying to do a life cycle analysis of using recycled asphalt pavement and recycled asphalt shingles as additives to hot mix asphalt, but am having trouble forming these products. How can I go about making a hybrid of hot mix asphalt with these products? I have noticed that there are not many construction materials listed in any of the sectors...is that because what I am trying to do is outside of the scope of what this tool is for? Thanks for your help.

First note that this is a fairly complex analysis and generally EIO-LCA might not be most suitable to help with it. Construction and construction-oriented products and processes are tough given the data available.

You could use the hybrid tool (under use the model link, "Create Custom Model" tab, "Hybrid product") to take an existing sector and modify the inputs. For example if you go to the custom model tool, choose the asphalt shingle sector, it shows all the default cost inputs that go into making the shingles. You could take separate data you had and modify this direct purchase chain for hot-mix.. Then hit the button at the bottom and the results pages look just like they do for a regular product.
